Creating an account

      Before you can use the system, you must set up a user account for yourself. This is because it's usually not a good idea to use the root account for normal use. The root account should be reserved for running privileged commands and for maintaining the system, as discussed in Section 4.1.

In order to create an account for yourself, you need to login as root and use the useradd or adduser command. See Section 4.4 for information on this procedure.
